2020 is over but 2021 is starting off with Mercury going Retrograde

2020 is finally over, however we may not be out of the woods just yet. We are already in the first of three Mercury retrogrades during 2021. Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius from January 30 to February 20. Messenger planet Mercury rules technology, travel and communication, so during Mercury retrograde, all of these things can go haywire.

In Aquarius, this retrograde could be a bit of a double-whammy for our technology. Take extra care with your digital devices, online communications and electronic equipment.

Aries – During this time, you may discover the darker side of a friend’s personality or discover rough group dynamics within an organization. This doesn’t necessarily mean to cut ties and run, true friends reveal themselves by how they handle the bumps in the road.

Taurus – Expect conflict during the month ahead, especially at work since this retrograde will be in your house of career. It is best to spend this time reanalizing and fortifying your professional plans and focus on your goals.

Gemini – Make sure that any trips, adventures or even Zoom appointments are locked in and double confirmed. You should hold of on any big changes or financial moves until after mercury goes direct at the end of February.

Cancer – Keep your emotions in check this month. Romantically, this retrograde could arouse intense emotions and even herald the return of an ex. However sometimes the line between interesting excitement and drama is a very thin line.

Leo – Imprecise communication will not be out of the ordinary for the next few weeks. Make sure your important discussions are clear to everyone involved. Even if this means you may have to revisit old drama before moving forward.

Virgo – This is a great time for a life purge. Clear out all of the material weight cluttering up your life. Be mindful and consider the direction you are heading in life when deciding what to keep around.

Libra – Mercury’s retrograde during the season of love in your fifth house could spell romantic chaos for you this month. Watch out for a surge of attraction could arise that’s both exciting and misleading. Do not let things in your love life reach a boiling point before addressing them.

Scorpio – Setting up fair house rules and tacking a chore schedule on the fridge can be a stunningly simple solution for the conflict brewing in your home this month. Spend the extra time left from the delegation of house hold duties to reconnect with your family.

Sagittarius – Choose every word with care between now and February 20 to avoid meltdowns and misconceptions. You may want to take advantage of this retrograde to avoid communications and instead refocus on your hobbies, and completing projects you have on the back burner.

Capricorn – Use great caution with your finances for the next few weeks. Ignore any impulse purchasing and redirect your focus to saving up for an emergency or future vacation.

Aquarius – Brace yourself for some misunderstandings ahead. No matter how clearly you feel you have been you will avoid significant frustrations if you simply take a moment to rewind and reattempt to get things across, rather than just push forward.

Pisces – Your time will be better spent this month focusing on tying up lose ends rather than aiming for significant progress. Let go of anything you may be holding onto to make room for better options once Mercury is direct again.
