Colors of the Season – How to use what you Wear and how you Decorate to Attract what you Desire.

We’ve all heard of lucky numbers, but most people don’t realize there is just as much, if not more, power in colors also. Colors have special vibrations that continually send out signals to us. During the holiday season the world comes to life with colors. Choosing the right colors to surround yourself with can help boost your personal aura. It is important to remember that some colors attract, while some reject. Here are some guidelines to insure the color that shimmers and glistens around your home and being this holiday season with lift your spirit turning your world into a winter wonderland.

Earth Signs

Capricorns (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Considering Capricorn’s preference for the traditional over the exotic it should come as no surprise your power colors are dark browns and greens. Your complementary hues are cranberry red and lavender.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) Surround yourself in soothing and serene colors. Deep earthy greens are your power color. Royal and snow blue are your complimentary hues. Avoid high contrast colors like yellows just as you avoid high contrast situations in your life.
Virgo (Aug 23 – Sept 22) Soothe your anxious temperament by surrounding yourself with beiges tans and browns. Accent them with your hues of pale pink and pine green.

Air Signs

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19) Despite being an air sign, Aquarians power colors are watery shades of turquoise, and silvers. Add in some exciting and imaginative accent hues of electric blue and leaf green.
Gemini ( May 21 – June 21) Choose bright and warm yellows that are as energetic as you are. Accenting them with lime green and bright pink will compliment your cheery disposition perfectly.
Libra (Sept 23 – Oct 22) Deep blues are what will do it for you libras. Blue tones so dark they are almost black. Bring the brightness in with some snow white or smoke grey hues.

Water Signs

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21) Where there’s smoke there’s fire has never been truer than for a Scorpio when it comes to the colors red and black. If you want to add a pop of brightness try a gingerbread brown or a hot pink hue.
Pisces (Feb 19 – March 20) Dive into your sea of colors, ranging from sea green to lilac, mauve, and baby blues. If your creative side needs more flare add in some sand and fuchsia hues.
Cancer (June 22 to July 22) Embrace your inner moon child and surround yourself in shades of silver and white. Add some turquoise or even ruby red hues to brighten your night sky look.

Fire Signs

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21) Skip the bright sunshine yellows and oranges and opt for rich purples and navy blues. Add in some Christmas red and ivory hues and you will be shining brightly!
Aries (March 21 – April 19) Show off your passion and energy with red! Not only will you turn heads but your fiery energy will be sure to show through. Turn up the allure even more with some burnt orange and periwinkle blue hues.
Leo (July 23 – Aug 22) True to your fire sign your power colors are gold and orange. Make the winter world around you glow as brightly as you do by adding in some winter white and royal purples hues.
Each sign has a dominant color pairing, as well as a complementary hue. So before you deck the halls and don your holiday clothes make sure you’ve worked in as many of your power colors as possible.
