Personal Paranormal accounts that will paralyze you with paranoia

It’s almost Halloween and that means it’s the perfect time for stories about things that go bump in the night. These first hand encounters with the paranormal are sure to give you goosebumps.

“I had a black cat called Casper. We adopted her after she ran away from the previous owner. She was missing for days before the previous owner found her in the bushes, skittish and frightened. After carrying her home, the owner discovered she was allergic to cats when her arm broke out with rashes. She put out a call for a new home, which was answered by my animal-loving family. For ages, she was scared to come near anyone and was totally averse to being petted. Eventually, she turned into a total ham, never missing the chance to jump on you and lie with you. We loved her, and I loved her heaps. Then one day she lost the use of her back legs. Not long after, she passed away. I was having a rough time then, and she was a big comforter. Point is: my parents and I were sad. A few days after, I’m sitting on my front step having a smoke, and I gear a meowing sound identical to Casper. I look out front and there, at the gate, was a cat meowing at me that looked just like Casper. I went over, and it ran away. I looked down the street after it, and it was gone. I mentioned it to my parents. They both said the same thing happened to each of them separately, which was a surprise to them, too. Now it could have been a similar cat from the neighborhood, but it only happened once to each of us then was never seen again.”

“My 3-year-old son was trying to take a picture of me. He didn’t realize the camera was backward. He took several photos within seconds of each other. I grabbed the camera back when he was done and started erasing the photos to make space. The first two images were blurry duds. But when I got to the third picture, there was a startling face behind his. I’ve never seen this person in my life and we were the only two home.”

“I wanted to eat cereal, but there was no milk, so I decided to go to a small store that is on the same block as my house. So I walk to it (50 or so meters away from my house), and I see the owner outside looking at his store which is closed. I say hi to him, he says hello, I ask if they are not opening today and he says not today and I don’t think anything of it. I say, “Ok thank you,” he asks me to say hi to my parents for him, they have been neighbors and friends for more than 30 years at that moment. I go home make some toast, and I see that my parents are dressing up. I ask them where are they going and my mom says they are going to Mr. Ricardo’s wake who died last night. Mr. Ricardo was the owner of the store I went. The one I saw and talked to 30 mins before.”

“I was in my kitchen with one of my kids. While she was eating, I took a picture of her and posted it on Facebook. That’s when people started asking me, “Who is the man in the background?” Her and I were the only two in the home. I looked at the picture again and you can see an older man looking around the corner of the pantry. Our house was built in 1877.”
