Precognitive dreaming is also known as prophetic dreaming. Most believe it to be a form of ESP, in which the dreamer is shown information about a place or an event through paranormal means before they visit or experience the event. Others believe prophetic dreams are given to the dreamer by their Deity so that they can avoid, or alter the outcome of the event. Have you ever woken up however felt you were still dreaming before you became fully lucid? Perhaps you had a feeling of dread or joy. Those feelings are most often foreshadowing your day ahead. Most often waking dreams leave you with the urge to take action. Waking dreams stay with you, unlike other dreams that are forgotten as you wake. So pay attention to your waking dreams, the feelings they invoke, and the direction you feel them pushing you in.

Guiding dreams

Whether from your deity or spirit guide these dreams come from a higher power. Most people consider guiding dreams to be more of a prophetic vision than an actual dream. However, since they are most often received during rem states they fall under precognitive dreams. These types of dreams will leave you awestricken when you wake with a full awareness of the council you have just received. Remember these higher powers have immensely more knowledge of the intricacies of our day to day lives and you should always be grateful and be accepting of the guidance they provide.

Warning Dreams

Have you ever watched a movie with an alternate ending? Warning dreams are often like these movies. They are warnings of what is to come as a result of a decision or person, or some other variable. Often these dreams can shift to show you alternate possibilities if some things are changed. If you are experiencing a reoccurring dream that often has small details that are different and ends differently each time.
