Retrocognition 101
You may have heard the term post-cognition, this is the same as retrocognition. Retrocognition is the ability to psychically gather information about the past. Everything is made up of energy, and the energy of the traumatic or oft-repeated events remain recorded in the environment in which they originally occurred. With retrocognition the psychic is able to “tune in” to the specific frequency of this residual energy and “see” it or experience it.
In cultures where reincarnation is accepted, small children have recounted stories of past lives in great detail, right down to the address of where they lived and what their trade was. Often, they have skills without ever training or can report details they could not know otherwise.
The easy way to develop retrocognition is to pay attention to your dreams, especially the ones that seem to deal with your past. It’s important to keep a dream journal and mark the ones that involve imagery, themes and people in your past. Analyze them and see what you come up with. Make it a point to listen to your inner voice and pay attention to hunches and gut feelings. Take time every day to meditate or at least to be still, in order to contemplate your life and what’s going on around you. The more you notice and the more you feel and analyze what’s going on, the more likely you will be able to perceive those subtle frequencies and visions.

Paranormal experts believe that all people have some power of retrocognition, though some are more in tune with their abilities than others. The experience of deja vu may be a small form of retrocognition. If you have ever walked into a room or met someone, and felt like you have done that same action before, you may have experienced retrocognition.
