The Magician is representative of having the potential to reach your dreams, and further shows you the path to them. When the Magician card is pulled, it is your sign to dig deep and tap into your full potential. The Magician is clothed in white and red, symbolizing his purity and worldly connections. He also has a table in front of him with each of the symbols of the four tarot suits, which are the cup, pentacle, sword and wand. It is the sign that he has all of the tools (and elements) he needs to manifest his goals into reality. The infinity symbol above his head as well as the ouroboros (a snake eating its own tail) belt is representative of the eternity. The figure stands within a garden of roses to imply cultivation of desires. This is a very powerful card when upright, but we also need to talk about the reverse meaning.
Reversed: manipulation, illusions
When the Magician card is reversed, it is a sign that if you are not quick, an opportunity to manifest your dreams may slip from your grasp. This could mean you need to eliminate self doubt or take stock of the people in your life who appear to being trying to help you, as they may instead be deceiving you for their own personal gain. Reevaluate to find any snakes in the grass that may be stopping you from reaching your full potential. This could be a coworker, a friend, a relationship or even a position at work that isn’t serving you.
