The Star card shows a woman pouring water from a bowl into a small pond, replenishing the Earth as opposed to depleting it. The other hand can be seen pouring water from a second bowl onto dry soil. Like many other cards, the position of The Star’s feet is important. She has one foot in the water, representing intuition and creative thinking. Her other foot rests on the dry Earth, showing her practical and logical side. She balances perfectly between both. The seven stars that adorn her hair represent the Chakras.
The Star represents the next part of The Fool’s Journey (the story of the Major Arcana cards). After the Tower, this card shows the time of peace that was promised after the destruction. This card is a sign that you will be ushering in a new time of renewed faith and self assurance. This card holds powerful loving and healing energy. Some even believe it to mean you have been blessed by the universe or will soon be!
Reversed: Despair, stagnation, lost
Rest assured, reverse does not always mean the opposite. The reverse Star card still shows blessings and a time of peace, but you may be overlooking those blessings. Your soul may be feeling lost in its spiritual journey or a bit beaten up by the obstacles you’ve overcome to get to where you are today.
